Listing labelling

Each listing has several descriptive labels attached to it.

Audience indicator

Flipacar Dealer Market which is the broad dealer market with over 1,000 dealers.

Private Markets which are exclusive dealer networks on Flipacar.

Please refer to the Market types article for further information.

Bidding status

"You" - your bid is currently the highest.

"Outbid" - your bid is not the highest.

Listing type

"Dealer" - a dealer or company owned car for sale. If you win the auction, you’re an owner. You will be expected to pay and collect the vehicle as soon as possible.

"Trade In" - a dealer attempting to sell a car they have not yet purchased. OR a lease company listing and end-of-lease vehicle. These may or may not end up in a transaction.

"Private" - a private seller contacted by our Deal My Car staff. OR cars listed by finance brokers trying to sell on behalf of owners.

Reserve indicator

This label indicates whether the highest bid is close to or has met the reserve price for the vehicle. This is important because if the auction ends and your bid is above the reserve, the car is sold to you. If the listing concludes without bids above the reserve, it enters the Counteroffer stage.
